I was born in the city of Limache, Chile, in 1984, surrounded by mountains. I began learning the names of trees and birds before I started writing. My first publications appeared in various magazines in Chile and Argentina. My big break came in 2015 when I won the Santiago Municipal Literature Prize for my poetry collection Tordo, whose jury was chaired by Raúl Zurita.
I have participated in several book fairs and festivals, such as the FIL in Buenos Aires, the one in Montevideo, and the one in Guadalajara, Mexico. At the latter, I had the opportunity to present my book Litoral central at the International Poetry Festival, alongside Charles Simic.
Today I tend to my garden and my notebooks. My writing explores a variety of themes, such as the climate crisis, the Latin American poetic tradition, sound, travel literature, social movements, and contemporary music. Some of my poems and essays have been translated into English, German, French, Italian, and Norwegian.
I currently work as an editor of travel books and naturalist chronicles, and I teach creative writing at Casa Contada.
